(born 1952) joined Oldfield Partners in August 2007 from Dalton Strategic Partnership. During a career that began at S.G.Warburg & Co./Mercury group in 1976, he has held various senior positions in the securities and investment industry all dealing with the Japanese market. He has a degree in Japanese and economics from Sheffield University and has lived in Japan on five separate occasions. He is a director of the JP Morgan Fleming Japanese Smaller Companies Investment Trust Plc. He runs Japanese equity portfolios, assists Richard Oldfield with the manager of managers strategy and contributes to the overall investment selection.
